Wood Norton Venue
Wood Norton is a gorgeous wedding venue located in Evesham, Worcestershire. As both a wedding photographer and a videographer, we’ve had the privilege of capturing unforgettable moments here, not least at Emily and Ollie’s wedding in September.
Picture this: one of the hottest days of the year, an outdoor ceremony, very little shade and full sunshine – a dreamy, sweaty but beautiful day! Our trusty neck fans came in incredibly useful, would thoroughly recommend them to anyone!
Wood Norton has so many versatile spaces, and offers different vibes in each room, from the wood panelling, bright and fun bar, to the new and gorgeous Orangery, which is absolutely perfect for the wedding breakfast and evening party.
The Happy Couple
Emily reached out to us fairly last minute after a negative experience with her previous photographer and videographer. Becky went to high school with Emily, so they’ve actually known each other since they were 12 – let’s not dwell on how long ago that was!
It was such a pleasure to photograph Emily’s Wood Norton wedding, having known her for this long. Her and Ollie were the perfect match: silly, funny, and so in love.
Ollie is a fireman, which played a big part in the day. He arrived on a vintage firetruck, and there were plenty of references to his career throughout the day.
Emily got ready with her bridesmaids, the mums, and her hair and makeup ladies in The Old Kitchen: she actually used the same hair and make up ladies Becky used when we got married, so that was so lovely to catch up with them again!
The ceremony was outside on the bandstand, and it was just perfect (and hot!). Their gorgeous black lab, Indy, was ring bearer, which was such a heartfelt moment.
We opted for couple photos and family photos in the evening once the harsh sunlight had left, and I think it definitely paid off. The views from Wood Norton are just stunning, looking out to the River Avon, and provide such a gorgeous backdrop.
Speeches were absolutely hilarious; Emily’s dad laid into them both but in a cute way, offering extremely funny anecdotes of Emily growing up, and her and Ollie as a couple. They also opted for a fab game of Mr & Mrs, which is always a fun excuse for everyone to get involved!

They took the day in their stride, given the super early start & the late finish, they were there smiling the whole day. The photos show just how much they love their job and how skilled they are. Becky managed to negotiate sun glare, and still get 100+ people into a photo. Dean's videos are equally as beautiful as Becky’s photos, with highlights of the speeches played in the background to perfectly captured moments of the day.
We could not be happier with the outcome of photos and videos, and also could not recommend them more. We love you guys!
