We loved Jodie and Alfie’s Lyde Court wedding. We also adored Lyde Court. What an absolutely gorgeous venue – the epitome of rustic charm nestled in the Herefordshire countryside.
Jodie and Alfie are cool. Really cool. Both working for themselves in the creative industry, they oozed charm and cool vibes. Have I said cool enough now?
Jodie bought her wedding dress from Asos and looked like a queen. Her flowers were the most beautiful, vibrant we’ve seen, and her vintage-style waves and subtle make up were just beautiful.
And she was enhanced by her gorgeous bridal party of six beautiful bridesmaids.
Alfie wore a collar-less shirt and doc martens, without a tie. Did we mention how cool they were?
Their ceremony was very them, with a couple of readings and the acoustic guitar played by a friend while Jodie walked down the aisle. We also had smoke bombs, afternoon tea, some really great speeches and an absolutely fantastic band. A fabulous day!
Jodie and Alfie decorated the room themselves, with fairy lights, candles and flowers dressing the long tables.
We arrived first thing and stayed well into the night – we couldn’t resist having a little boogie ourselves to the band at the end, they really were phenomenal!
Lyde Court weddings are truly spectacular, but beware of two things: the barn gets very dark, so lots of fairy lights are needed. And if you get married in the outside barn, it’s soooo low! Dean is 6’5″ so had to stoop the whole time; even Jodie and her dad did as they came down the aisle (was quite endearing though)!
If you’re thinking about having a Lyde Court wedding, please get in touch as it’s one of our favourite venues and we’d love to come back.
In the meantime, here is the video and some kind words from Jodie:
“Guys… thank you SO much it’s so so so lovely!!! I cannot believe we even considered not having videographers… because I have just watched it at least 8 times! And it’s so beautiful. We are both so grateful xxx”
