As a wedding videographer, I’ve had the privilege of working at various amazing venues, but few compare to the rustic and gorgeous Eden Barn.
The Venue
This picturesque venue, nestled in the stunning countryside of Cumbria, England, offers a truly magical setting for couples to exchange their vows, blending modern and old perfectly. It’s a perfect location for weddings, and Chloe and Oli’s wedding there in August stands out in our minds as one of the highlights of this year!
We were surrounded by countryside all day; Eden Barn is super accessible, but also tucked away in the middle of nowhere – perfect!
The Wedding Day
Chloe got ready with her maids on-site, while Oli and his boys chose Low Ploughlands, barn conversions, just down the road.
Chloe’s dress was absolutely stunning, a lace gown by Tara Lauren, with custom sleeves added by her seamstress which were able to be removed in the evening for dancing – giving two totally unique and different looks for the day.
After it started to rain we had the ceremony inside, which was so moving set within the main barn, beneath the fairy lights. The confetti throw as they walked back down the aisle was amazing, using real paper so it fell slowly – and there was so much of it!
After couple shots outside, we were treated to fantastic speeches, a highlight being Oli’s brother Sean’s best man speech – one of the funniest and brutal we’ve heard.
We then spent time in he meadow for golden hour, and Chloe and Oli really loved this session and allowed us, and Esme their amazing photographer, to capture their love truthfully and taking our time.
The evening party was just as we imagined, with Jonny Rocks Music playing some proper dancefloor tunes, getting everyone on their feet. Chloe and Oli gave out shots, and everyone let their hair down.
It was time for us to go, but we had such an amazing day and would love to return to Eden Barn, especially for photography too!
