Our third time to Manor by the Lake in as many years saw us photograph Scott and Anita’s gorgeous sunny wedding in July.
Whilst it was our third visit, it was the first time we’d had an indoor ceremony; both Manveer and Stefania, and Zara and Ryan had chosen outdoor ceremonies under the Italian Pavilion. Being inside, in the Maximilian room, meant we had lovely views over the grounds and plenty of natural light flooding through the big windows behind the couple as they said their vows.
We love a Manor by the Lake, Cheltenham, wedding so much; it’s a beautiful stately home, surrounded by stunning grounds and a wonderful lake, yet also in the heart of Cheltenham so it’s super accessible. We feel like we’ve truly gotten to know its every nook and cranny, and we’re still discovering new reasons to adore it. Everything is thought of, from confetti under the arches, group photos out the front, and delicious food served in the large Ballroom. The staff are always a pleasure and really make us feel welcome too.
Scott and Anita’s wedding was really special, with their loved ones travelling from all over to see them tie the knot. Anita got ready in one of the bedrooms, while Scott and his buddies played pool in the Rock Bar. The string quartet was a real treat and added to the atmosphere, both during the ceremony and also throughout the drinks reception on the lawn.
Speeches were absolutely hilarious (they often seem to be extra funny and romantic when we’re not filming, which is a shame), and their dancefloor in the Ballroom was full all night.
