There are some weddings that stay with you long after the sun sets – and Hollie and Alex’s destination wedding in Kos is one of those. Set on the stunning Kastri Island with just thirty of their closest loved ones, it was the kind of day that reminds us why we love what we do.
As a husband and wife photography and videography team based in Worcester, we’ve been lucky to capture weddings across the UK and beyond – but this day was something truly unforgettable.
The ceremony itself took place on the tiny Kastri Island, just off the coast of Kos. Getting there meant hopping onto a boat with the rest of the guests, sailing across clear blue waters toward a little white chapel perched on the rocks. It was romantic, cinematic, and honestly… completely breathtaking.
Hollie looked absolutely radiant as she arrived by a separate boat with her dad – waves lapping gently, sunlight sparkling around her, and Alex waiting with the biggest smile. Their vows were said surrounded by sea, sky, a bit of wind, and the people who mattered most.
After the ceremony, the celebrations continued at Mylotopi – a beautiful hilltop spot with panoramic views, amazing food, and the most relaxed atmosphere. It felt like a dream dinner party under the Greek sun: laughter, shared plates, and joyful conversation as the sun dipped behind the horizon.
With so few people there, the whole day felt deeply personal. We were honoured to be welcomed in so warmly by their friends and family – it honestly felt like we were part of the group. It made every moment we captured feel that much more genuine, and gave us loads of time for relaxed, romantic couple portraits across the island’s stunning backdrops.
And as if that wasn’t enough, we reunited with Hollie and Alex again at the end of August for their bigger UK celebration in Essex. This time, it was all about partying with everyone who couldn’t make it to Greece – and we even got to meet their gorgeous dogs (who definitely stole the show more than once!).
The Smiths left us the loveliest review after their wedding, and we’ll carry their kind words with us always. It means the world when couples not only love their photos and film, but also how they felt with us by their side.
If you’re dreaming of a destination wedding in Kos, let this be your sign: there’s nothing quite like saying “I do” surrounded by sea, sunshine, and the people you love most.
Hollie and Alex – thank you for letting us be part of such a beautiful chapter in your story. We’ll never forget it.
