The Venue
Brinsop Court is one of our favourite venues to photograph and film. Everything about it is perfect and so well thought-out; the history and beauty of the manor, all the outdoor space and super accommodative staff.
Brinsop Court is a historic estate located in the tranquil heart of Herefordshire. Surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery, this venue offers a breathtaking setting for weddings and events. The estate is composed of several buildings, including the stunning manor house, which dates back to the 14th century. The property also features a moat, private gardens, and scenic walking paths.
Whether you choose to marry inside the manor in the Elizabethan Library or the Banqueting Hall, or outside under the Astley Pergola on the lawns or the Knot Barn, they’re all beautiful and create the best backdrops for wedding photos and videos.
The Wedding Couple
We were there to capture Beth and Ash’s Brinsop Court wedding in April, on Easter Monday. The weather was on our side, though it was super windy! We were so lucky with bright and warm sunshine all day.
Beth and Ash were just the loveliest couple. Both working in the police, they were so down to earth, friendly and really treated us as though we were guests. We’d already met them for their engagement shoot on the Malvern Hills the previous year, so it felt totally natural to be hanging out with them again on their wedding day! (and be on our best behaviour, as I think about 90% of their guests were also in the police!)
The morning began with Beth getting ready with her bridesmaids in the French Room, while Ash was with his groomsmen downstairs where he presented them all with funky socks (which was an emotional tribute to his grandad who always turned up wearing bright socks!) and whisky.
A particular groomsmen highlight was Rory, who somehow forgot to bring a pair of shoes: instead he came with two rights! He popped out to buy a new pair, and unfortunately crashed his car (it was fine) on his way back to the venue… Beth and Ash took this in their stride and I don’t think they’ll ever let Rory forget!
Ash chose to have his dad as his Best Man, and it was clear how touched his dad was by this amazing gesture.
First look with Beth’s dad was one of the most moving we’ve seen! She looked truly beautiful and took everyone’s breath away.
After the ceremony and photos, it was time for speeches – and again, Beth’s dad was super emotional and delivered a beautiful, poignant speech that set everyone off! Ash’s dad (best man) also gave a fantastic talk about Ash growing up, before presenting him with a signed Kidderminster Harriers t-shirt framed – which, growing up with my own dad supporting Kidderminster, was special for me too!
We then moved over to The Knot Barn for the evening party, and there was such a good atmosphere for the dancing! The Knot Barn is the perfect space for the evening do; a great bar, plenty of space for busting some moves, and lots of light for those summer nights too.
A Brinsop Court wedding is a truly beautiful event and we had such a wonderful time, and regularly chat about how much we love the venue, and how lovely this particular day was.

Some kind words from Beth & Ash:
“We booked Becky and Dean for our wedding in April this year. They are both the loveliest people and made us, as well as all our guests, feel at ease and captured some great candid photos as well as all the photos we wanted. The photos are absolutely gorgeous, and the video is incredibly put together with voiceovers of our speeches over some very special moments. I could not recommend Becky and Dean high enough, you won’t be disappointed using them for your special day!”
