When Bernadette got in touch to book a couple shoot at the Lavender Fields, I was very excited. When I then found out that they were also expecting a baby, the excitement levels grew as I knew I’d be able to incorporate a maternity photoshoot too – something I’ve always wanted to do!
Despite the weather being overcast, we were still able to thoroughly enjoy the maternity photoshoot and utilise the beautiful lavender backdrop.
Bernadette had coordinated her outfit perfectly, with a gorgeous floral dress with hints of purple, yellow and greens. She blended into the fields in the best way.
Justin and Bernadette were quite shy and nervous to be in front of the camera – as a lot of my couples are! But I think we managed to overcome the nerves and produce something really special that they’ll be able to treasure for a long time.
Hopefully by now you’ll have an understanding of our style, but in case you don’t – being nervous is totally natural, but also totally fine. I’m not big for overly posed, unnatural shots with your mouth clenched and your arm in an awkward position behind/around/underneath(!) you. Photographs of the two of you are just that: they’re supposed to represent the real you: the laughter, the emotion and the reasons why you are together.
Finally, in Bernadette’s own words:
“We had an amazing photoshoot with Becky at the Cotswold Lavender Fields. We had such a lovely time. Becky made us feel so at ease. Photos were lovely. thank you very much.”
